Under other circumstances, perhaps Knives would have even been pleased to see it. However, his main thought is that if Vash had taken all the time he devoted to learning how to fight like this and instead put it toward understanding how to control his Gate, perhaps things would have been different.
Or perhaps not, because he still would have needed Vash's willingness to go along with his plan, and that's never been forthcoming.
As Vash expected, Knives does try to buck him off, his pelvis lifting as he thrashes and fights. The entire situation is undignified and he wouldn't particularly care if he was fighting for something of import, but ultimately his terrorizing of the girl had been little more than a whim.
